Hello our friends and family,
We apologise for the delay in our updates... it has been a busy few weeks...
So where did we leave off?? ahh the Circuit Assembly.. yes..
Well since then we have been busy with our studies and Sarah has been doing a great job with her studies... her spanish has improved so much that she now is doing an answer or two per meeting and having conversations :) so proud of my baby. We have a study with a lovely lady that is happy for us to come back day after day for a study... so amazing.. she has a bit of trouble reading which means more practice for us hehehe... Sarah smashes it.
I did my first bible highlights in spanish the other day... that was nerve racking... but not as much as my first public talk that was in spanish... It was in a little group that we support as a congregation in a town named Chazuta which is about 1hour away from Tarapoto... they have 12publishers. It was a beautiful drive there. It was so special because Dan and Jen with my beautiful niece Amiel was there to see it and my mum made a special trip down to Tarapoto from Lima to see it... We thank them so much for making a special effort... We love our family so much.
We have been spending time with Dan, Jen and Amiel for a bit over a week so far and we are with them for another 2 weeks here in Lima. It has been so nice to see them again and spend time with them... we are heading to the beach in the next couple days for a bit of a holiday with the family which we are looking forward to.
In Tarapoto we all went to the beautiful waterfall, Zoo and Muyabamba which has hot springs, orchard nursery and a very beautiful place to swim in cold water.. Dan, Jen and Amiel loved it and loved seeing where we are serving and we loved it too :)
Ah I just remembered another awesome little experience we had in the ministry the other day. I went back to a RV that we hadn't been able to get home in a while, he was home this time and we had a lovely chat about learning about the bible... he asked us to come back for a study and he asked if we sold Bibles... I said we don't but we give them away for free... well he gave a large donation and really showed his appreciation for all the work put into producing a bible. It was lovely to see a family man interested in Bible truths.
We also had our Pioneer Day which was just cool and super encouraging... All about keeping our Joy and how important it is... amazing little points and just super timely as usually. We had our Pioneer meeting with the elders as well and that was a boost... some interesting points about keeping up with the Faithful Slave.
Well now I am going to post some photos... But to finish this little post we would like to say thank you to all the support everyone has been giving us either through there lovely comments, emails, gifts and others. We would like to thank our families for there support such as the Markakis family back in Aus that have helped us prepare and continue to give us emotional support, we thank the Muniz family here in Peru that have been so generous, for example Tio Ivan has been letting us stay in his apartment at the moment as Mums house is full... and so many other lovely things... we thank Mami Grete (Joshs grandma) for her beautiful support. We could go on forever with all the encouragement we get from everyone, so thank you all... it really does help us keep going though not only our challenges but our adventures :P
Love you all,
Josh and Sarah
